Veton Berisha counters Elbert Krasniqi: Kurt himself told me he wouldn't be a minister again.

Veton Berisha from the Egyptian community has come up with a replication response to Elbert Krasniqi from the Egyptian community, who yesterday dismissed grave accusations against him.

Berisha said he has abstained from Albin Kurti's proposed government yesterday, but that he had expressed the stance that if he depended on his vote, you would vote “for”.

DEMANT PUBLIC vs Elbert Krasniqi

Dear citizens, friends and representatives of the Egyptian community and Ashkali,

I'm feeling the need to react to some slander and disinformation by Mr. Elbert Krasniqi, who is trying to cover his personal failure to reappointed minister by trying to blame me.

) The truth is simple: I've had no opportunity, much less influence, to stop the prime minister. Albin Kurti in his decision of ministerial appointment. This is a low attempt to shift attention from Elbert Krasniqi's political failure.

So for the sake of transparency, I want to share with you some clear facts:

1л) Since the first day after the elections, I have called for co-operation and unity with MPs Elbert Krasniqi and Artan Aslan, in order to represent our communities as fittingly.

2л) At Elbert Krasniqi's request, I am not allowed to be part of the multiethnic parliamentary group by being deprived of the opportunities that belonged to our community.

3H) At his first meeting with Prime Minister Kurti, he himself has declared he was not planning to appoint Mr. The minister Krasniqi, having once had the opportunity. (Besnik Bislimi, Elbert Krasniqi, Artan Aslan, Albert Kinoll, Seninur Garall, Bashqi, Artan Berisha and Spring Curries) were present.

4л) PLE has submitted its programme and requirements for representation in the government, including a ministerial post for the Egyptian community.

6H) I've never been against Elbert personally, but I've called for an entourage, since we're representatives of Egyptian voters, over 8,000 of whom deserve fair and responsible representation!

7)) On October 25, 2025, at a meeting at the Prime Minister's Office around 23:50h a day before the government vote Kurti 3 with the presence of my colleagues as well. Bashkim Krasniqi and Mr. Artan Berisha I have clearly declared before Mr. Kurti that I seek no ministerial post personally for me but offered a worthy candidate from the Egyptian community. I assured Mr. Kurti that I will be deputy! I believe Mr. Kurt can also confirm this fact in public!

8)) The reason I abstained in the vote for Kurti Government 3 was the lack of respect for our demands and a clear political agreement for the development of our community.

9)) I have publicly declared that if the establishment of government depends on my vote I will vote on it but I will not be part of that government which does not respect our demands! So we've said several times that we're not blockers! I was the 57th voter and I had no reason to vote the PRO!

1л)0H) The last and most important, we remind you, as did the media at the beginning of the mandate, in their private communications, Mr. Elbert Krasniqi, Mr. Artan Aslan with Mr. Albin Kurti has shown constant concerns that I would take any ministry and their writings has clearly shown who was the real obstacle to our representation. Look at their writings!

) There are many other facts that will be published at the right time.

PLE and I will remain faithful to the word given to our people, working devotedly only to the interest of the Egyptian community and our sincerely respectful partners.
