During the day today, KFOR Commander Ozkan Ulutas has been hosting the Director of the Central and Western European Affairs Office at the United States State Department, Mark Fleming. KFOR has indicated that during the meeting, the discussion has focused on the current security situation in Kosovo and on dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina facilitated by the European Union, writes Express newspaper.
The other adds that Ulitas has re-focused KFOR's mission's commitment to ensuring a safe and secure environment for all Kosovo citizens.

Today, the commander of the NATO-led mission in Kosovo (KFOR), Major General Ramuscan Ulitaş, hosted KFOR headquarters at the Film City Camp in Pristina, director of the Office for Central and Western European Affairs at the US State Department, Mr. Mark Fleming. Mr. Fleming was accompanied by the US Embassy's work in Kosovo, Mrs. Annu Prattipati.
The meeting focused mainly on the current security situation in Kosovo and on dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina facilitated by the European Union. In this context, General Ulutaş reiterated KFOR's continued commitment to ensuring a safe and secure environment for all Kosovo citizens and praised the long-standing contribution of the United States to KFOR efforts and regional stability.
KFOR continues to implement its mandate, based on UN Security Council (1999) Resolution 1244, contributing to preserving a safe environment for all citizens and communities living in Kosovo, as well as freedom of movement at any time and impartially. KFOR co-operates closely with the Kosovo Police and with the European Union for Law Rule Mission in Kosovo (EULEX), within their security responsibilities.
