Trump: Putin must stop war in Ukraine, not test rockets

US President Donld Trump said his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, should end the war in Ukraine rather than test nuclear-powered missiles. The American leader added that his country is positioned by a nuclear submarine near Russia's coast. The day before, Putin said Russia has [...]
A day earlier, Putin said Russia has successfully tested its nuclear-powered rocket, Burvestnik-based weapons with nuclear capacity that Moscow claims could penetrate into any defence shield.
Putin said the state would move towards the delocation of this weapon.
Moscow said that the 9M730 Burvestnik (known as Storm Petrel) missile had flown 14,000 miles [14,000 km]. Asked aboard the presidential aircraft for testing rockets, which NATO has called S SC-X-9 Skyfall, Trump said the US does not need to fly that far, as there is a nuclear submarine off the coast of Russia.
They know we have a nuclear submarine, the best in the world, off their shores. So, we don't need to fly 8 thousand miles [1,000 km]”, Trump told reporters according to an audio-incation published by the White House.
And for the sake of truth, I don't think it's the right thing for Putin to talk about it. He must end the war, the war that should last just a week... which is now in its fourth year, not test the” rockets.
Since the 9M730 Burvestnik missile became public in 2018, Putin has presented this weapon in response to US movements to create a shield from air strikes after Washington in 2001 withdrew from the 1972 Treaty for antibalistic missiles.
Asked about Trump's statements, the Kremlin said Russia is guided by its national interests, but sees no reason for the missile testing to exacerbate reports with the White House.
“) Despite our readiness for dialogue with the United States, Russia first of all its president- is guided by national interests”, said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
Trump has repeatedly talked about the delocation of US submarines off Russia's coast, following statements by former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev on the risk of a war between two nuclear powers.
However, it is rare for parties to speak publicly about the whereabouts of armed submarines with nuclear weapons.
Speaking of testing the Russian missile, Trump said:“We test rockets all the time”.
They're not playing games with us, and neither are we playing games with them”, Trump said. /Periscopi/
