Trump: I won't see Putin if he's not ready for a deal

US President Donald Trump has said he will not waste time to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin, if the Kremlin leader is not ready to make arrangements to end the war in Ukraine.

You should know we'll reach a deal. I won't waste time”, Trump told reporters on October 25th that he was traveling to Mayalzi, where he started his Asian tour.

I've always had wonderful relationships with Vladimir Putin, but this has been very disappointing. I thought this war would end before peace was achieved in the Middle East”, he added.

Trump spoke to Putin last week and said he plans to meet him in Budapest within weeks.

However, the American president later cancelled the meeting, saying the parties would meet later.

Meanwhile, Reuters news agency has quoted an American official as saying that the Trump administration has prepared additional sanctions against the Russian economy, which could be implemented if Putin rejects the peace agreement.

The United States has shaken energy markets worldwide on October 22nd, when it announced that it will sanction Russian energy companies Rosneft and Lukoil, which are believed that through oil exports, it will finance Russia's war in Ukraine.

A day later, the European Union also imposed sanctions on Rosneft and Gazpromneft, another large oil company, the branch of Russian state giant Gazprom.

The war in Ukraine began on February 24, 2022.
