The VV has claimed in a Facebook post that Rama had come to Kosovo on an emergency helicopter visit to convince the parties here to vote for the establishment of the Special Court.
O V L The KLA says in response that this “clearly indicates that this party is trying to politicise and dim the goal of the big protest to be held in Tirana on 17 October”.
This protest is not of any political party it is the voice of the Albanian people, the voice of veterans, of the families of the martyrs, and of all those who disagree with the injustice being done to KLA leaders in The Hague. There is no political force that can stop or absorb this voice”.
“O V L KLA will not allow and will not allow the holy war of the Kosovo Liberation Army to be used for party interests. We do not seek political rhetoric, we seek justice for our fighters and punishment for Serbia's crimes:
Further in response, Tirana's protest is said to be a national protest, not a party protest.
There will be thousands of Albanians from all lands, to show that the KLA is an honor of the nation and that court can stain it. Same time, O. VL KLA expresses sincere thanks to Albania's prime minister, Mr. Edi Rama, who has shown a clear and supportive voice of this just cause, as well as for Albanian institutions that have given full support for the prosperity and organisation of the protest in Tirana”.
