The International Football Federation (FIFA) has announced today that it has sold more than a million tickets to the 2026 World Cup during the pre-sumption phase, marking a record interest in the world's most prestigious football tournament.
The 2026 World Cup, which will be organised for the first time by three US, Canadian and Mexico junior countries, is expected to be the largest tournament ever, with 48 participating teams and over 100 planned matches.
According to FIFA, the demand for tickets has exceeded expectations, with fans from around the world expressing great interest in closely following this historical sports spectacle.
The next phase of ticket sales is expected to open in the coming months, while FIFA has warned that competition for the security of a country in the stadium will be high.
The 2026 World Cup will begin on June 11th 2026 and last until July 19, 2026.
