Gilberto Mora writes history, the youngest player in World Cup opening matches

Mexican talent Gilberto Mora entered world football history after becoming the youngest player to ever play a Cup World opening match.
The 17-year-old was part of Mexico's formation of the 2026 World Cup inaugural challenge to South Africa, breaking a record that had remained for all 96 years.
With this presentation, Mora also became the youngest player to ever represent Mexico in a World Cup match.
Club Tijuana's offensive midfielder is considered one of the most promising talents of Mexican football, and his debut in the World opening match has immediately been placed in history books.
