Supreme Sea leads to revote of Klocott

The Supreme Court of Kosovo has rejected the independent candidate's complaint for the mayor of the Klokoti municipality, Arber Emini, confirming the previous election panel's decision on Anxiety and Parashtre (PZAP). Emini had demanded that revote be ordered in Klokot, claiming that during the election day there had been numerous legal and procedural violations, failure to implement a previous Supreme Court ruling and interference of Serbian illegal structures in the election process.
But the Supreme Court found that his claims were not supported by clear and convincing evidence, as required by the General Election Law. So the decision of PZAP to reject the complaint was deemed fair and legitimate.
As for claims of possible criminal acts during the elections, the Court clarified that they do not enter into PZAP's competence, but competent Prosecutor's Office, where Emini had already delivered criminal speculation.
In the conclusion, the Supreme Court stressed that the claims presented did not have sufficient grounds to influence the outcome of the elections and order the repeat vote in Klokot.
In Klokot, there will be a run-off between two Serbian candidates.
