During his report to the Assembly for 2024, SPAK leader Altin Duman was also asked about Albanian organised crime and its co-operation with countries in the region, and if there is evidence that Serbian cartels use the port of Durres for drug trafficking.
Doman confirmed that the investigation has resulted in Albanian organised crime co-operating with Serbian and Montenegrin, following Periscope.
“Visites and meetings at the KAS has been one of the best I've developed. What is talked about we've made a communication with the media. SPAK's co-operation with all American law enforcement authorities has been praised. But this has nothing to do with my visit to Montenegro and meeting with the special prosecutor there. We have excellent co-operation with Montenegro, Macedonia and Kosovo. With Montenegro we have very good co-operation and a framework agreement.
We have noted that Albanian organised crime co-operates closely with organised crime in Montenegro and Serbia. As for the Serbian chief prosecutor's visit, this too was a need, as investigations have come to the conclusion that Albanian organised crime co-operates with organised crime in Serbia. We have already established communications bridges to fight organised crime”, Doman said in the Assembly. /A2 CNN
