The salary from 350 euros to 500 euros, Rafuna: For the sake of discussion, the salary is spoken of with legitimate governments

The incumbent Minister of Finance, Labour, and Transfers (MFPT), Iron Murati, has held today a meeting with representatives of various institutions and associations to discuss the issue of minimum wage growth. Kosovo's Economic Oda (OEK) -- considered the largest business organisation in Kosovo -- has rejected this meeting.
OEK Mayor Lulzim Rafuna has said that the reason for the rejection of this meeting is the legitimacy of the Government. If there were a new government voted by the Parliament, Rafuna explained.
“We are part of the Economic-Social Council and whether we have a Government that is voted by the Parliament and legitimate and discussed the minimum wage for a future mandate, no doubt it is”, he has said.
The first OEK has considered the meeting held today was for face-to-face and” to legitimise the decision of the Finance Ministry”.
Well, more seriously, more constructionally with a deep study, giving us the opportunity to talk to business and get business opinions, and then forward to the Economic-Social Council. Where all ideas, proposals, reasonableness will be discussed in the council, and then the government will make the decision. As has been today's way of being more face-to-face and only legitimately a decision by Finance Minister Iron Murat”, he said.
Rafuna estimates the meeting held has been called for electoral purposes.
All indicators lead here. That this is only called for electoral purposes”, Rafuna said.
In contrast, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kosovo has clarified to the public that at the meeting called by the Ministry of Finance, Labour and Transference, no decision has been made about the minimum wage level.
The meeting, reportedly in the media communiqué, has been consultancy, and the participating parties have given their opinions and proposals on the issue, Periscopi submits.
The BTAK is not against the growth of the minimum wage, but has demanded that such a decision should be made only when Kosovo has functional and powerful institutions, there should be a deepening analysis of the economic situation, and the minimum wage proposal comes through the Economic-Social Council, not through the Ministry of Finance.
Chamber of Commerce: No decision has been made to raise minimum wage
On the other hand, Private Workers' Union Chairman Yusuf Azemi spoke after the meeting ended. Azem has said their demand was that the minimum wage in the private sector be 600 euros, however, indicated they have been hired since January next year, that salary is 500 euros.
“has been discussed for minimum wage. We have demanded that the minimum wage be 600 euros in the private sector. I have seen the consent of competent people or government in office, so their assessment is that this salary is 500 euros and I've asked him if everything goes well when you think it's starting to implement. According to the minister's statement, the minimum salary of 500 euros is said to start implementing in January, but still has not rejected our proposal for much 600 euros. Of all the acters we've agreed that the minimum wage will be 500 euros and start implementing in January”, Azemi said. /Periscope
