Agim Sahin, chairman of the Kosovo Alliance of Business, has ironed out with the government's proposal Kurti for the budget, saying her leader for such impasses is blaming the people who have not voted long enough and the opposition who is not making numbers for government Kurti 3.
For Sahin, the budget proposed by the incumbent government today can only be seen as a party proposal, in this case LVV, which can make other political parties, and then people in elections decide who they trust.
The proposed budget today cannot be said to be from a functional government, because all these major decisions must be submitted to procedures, which currently cannot happen, such as the budget crossing of parliamentary commissions and then voting in parliament. No one opposes the budget being four billion euros, but it must be shown where those means will come from. This is just a proposal that looks nice and nothing more”, Sahin said.
The head of the GDP has also talked about capital investments planned for 2026, but also about those not realised, even though promised during the government's four-year term, Kurti.
“U proposed capital investments around 1 billion euros, it is not planning, because when investments are planned, they are known by cents. Thus, even this category shows that there is no seriousness. The 13th salary for public sector workers why with taxes collected by the private sector being given the 13th public sector salary? We as representatives of the private sector strongly oppose this initiative because they are our taxes. Also, we have reservations in the minimum wage, Kosovo continues to have the lowest salary in the region. The set-up of minimum wage must be done by respecting all legal criteria and obtaining approval of all factors, including private sector representatives”, the UN chief has added.
Setting up a minimum salary of 500 euros, according to Sahin, risks defaulting many businesses because the decision has been made without any analysis.
