Sabri Hamiti is honoured with the title “Doctor Honoris Causa” from University of Tirana

The academy, Professor Sabri Hamiti, was honoured with Tirana University's top title, Honoris Causa. This assessment constitutes one of the most important moments in Professor Hamit's academic life, which has been known for decades as a bridge between Albania and Kosovo. He is a scholar, scholar, literary critic, poet, playwright, professor and politician, with a long contribution to seven legislatures in the Kosovo Assembly.
In his speech, the academic said this title is a great honour and an assessment that simultaneously belongs to Albanian literature and culture. Part of the books rely on Sabri Hamit's works and contributions to literature studies.
He also stopped at some of his literary inspirers, sharing with students experiences and reflections on the art of writing. Among its extensive literary creativity, two novels not to be left unread are single: “Man dies new” in 1972 and “One hundred years alone” in 1976. These works remain evidence of Sabri Hamit's creative power and influence in modern Albanian literature.
