This is happening despite the fact that many pensioners are in poor health but also in their old age.
On this issue, the Ministry of Finance, Labour and Transfers has issued a clarification to the public today.
In MPT's announcement, pensioners over the age of 80 can submit applications via telephone or e-mail, and the Ministry's mobile team goes home to implement the verification process.
The request may be made by one of the family members on its own, as long as correct pensioning records and reasons for the request are provided. Mobile teams work 7 days a week to ensure that all families are visited on time and regularly”, the report said.
This minister has also published phone numbers in six cities, where mobile teams can be called.
