Albin Kurti's call for media investigation of Exit-polletes
The association of Kosovo Journalists (AGK) sees with concern the public statement of Vetevendose chairman Albin Kurti on the part of the <x1ndorgans of justice and security”, following the publication of the three- television ex-ex of pole, for local elections.
Media in Kosovo have respected the KPM Law on Elections and Rules, and have not posted an Exit Poll, before 7:00, until the polls closed. Consequently, there has been no interference in the election process on the part of the media.
The AGK considers Kurt's calls for investigation after publishing these Exit Poles as being an open attack on media freedom. Exit Poles have stories of mistakes in many other democratic countries, including the United States in 2016.
AGK invites Mr. Kurti and his party not to intervene and pressure the media during their work of covering the elections.
