“Kosovo is a state in its right”, so Prime Minister Edi Rama said at the Paris Peace Forum. He also spoke of the importance of regional co-operation in the Western Balkans.
Rama underlined that all must work for our citizens to have freedom of movement.
We are firm in our belief that not only peace is better than anything else, but the happier the neighbor as happy as the house. So do not just take care of yourself but also think of your neighbor. Rejoice for yourself, but make sure that your neighbor does not starve. We have co-operation with everyone in the region. With Serbia we have a big problem that is Kosovo. Kosovo is a problem because for us it is a state, not just for us, but for most EU countries. But for Serbia it is not. But it's a big problem. Either we'd just sit back and turn on tension and damage our future economy or other options, say we don't agree on that, but work on our citizens having freedom of movement”, he said, AbcNews.
The regional co-operation is the only way, for those of us who want to become EU members. Although in recent years we have seen that Europe has been very Balkan. So there's an entire Balkanization of Europe, now we're the good guys and we tell you not to threaten, communicate, cooperate. Because we come from hell and we are messengers. After all, when the world explodes, it will not be Albania's fault. After all, when we get to St. Peter first, we will be given a place in heaven”, Rama said./Periscopi/
