MP The PDK, Progress Gruda, has called for tomorrow, October 17th, in Tirana to raise the voice of truth in the support protest of former KLA leaders being held in custody at The Hague.
Through a Facebook post, Gruda said Tirana tomorrow is the voice of all Albanians.
“Tomorrow, in Tirana, we should all be together, from all Albanian trains -- from Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Presevo, diaspora and Albania itself. Let us sing together about the truth, about national dignity, and about justice to the liberation war”, he wrote.
Among other things, the MP explains on what basis the Special Court was established.
The Special Court in The Hague has been set up on the basis of Dick Marty's report, approved at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. That report, besides Kosovo, included Albania's territory, with the claim that organ trafficking had been carried out in its areas by members of the Kosovo Liberation Army -- charges related to the so-called “Yellow House””.
“Today, as the trial process against KLA leaders in The Hague nears its end, it has become quite clear that these claims have not been true. There is no claim in the Special Prosecutor's official indictment of “Yellow House”, nor for organ trafficking, nor has any evidence confirmed any of the charges filed in Marty's report. This means that the very foundation upon which the Special Court was built has been wrong and built on false claims. An unequivocal report has served to establish a court that for years has been bringing the leaders of the Kosovo people's liberation war” under fire, he wrote further.
Gruda, also says that today Albania, as a member state of the Council of Europe, according to him, has a moral and political obligation to seek the removal of this unfair mark that burdens its name and the righteous fight of the KLA.
