The head of the Government Commission for Missing Persons, Andy Hoti, who was nominated by Prime Minister Albin Kurti for the post of Minister for Family and Social Management, has reacted after failing to form the government “Kurti 3”.
Through a Facebook post, Hoti said his decision to accept the proposal has been well thought out and based on current political circumstances. He stressed that, despite developments, his responsibility towards people remains unchanged.
“Work at institutions is not a privilege but a duty of service to citizens. Despite today's failure to form the new government, this is a political reality that must be accepted calmly and responsibilities”, Hoti wrote.
He added that he regrets the political class's lack of awareness of unified action in the service of state and national interests.
I am grateful for the assessment and trust I have been given to lead such an important dictatorship as the Ministry for Family and Social Goodness, part of Mr. Kurti, a ministry that includes the most sensitive social categories in the Republic of Kosovo”, he wrote.
In the end, Hoti underlined that politics views it as a service tool rather than a profit, stressing that it will continue to work in the service of citizens “aty where it is and where it is entrusted to work”.
