Picula: Serbia cannot enter the EU without recognising Kosovo

In an interview for Jutarnji List, the Croatian Eurodeput said that without full normalisation of relations between Kosovo and Serbia will have no EU integration.

He added that the integration of the two countries into the large European family is closely linked to dialogue, which must end with a legally binding comprehensive agreement on normalisation of reports between two states.

Although the dialogue was renewed in 2023, he said that “, where the moment is seized, came to a real series of crises, which was the most serious attack by Serbian paramilitary forces in northern Kosovo”, broadcast the KP.

Picaula said the terrorist group's attack, led by Milan Radociq in Banjska, represents serious Kosovo peace violation.

“We have requested that Belgrade's reports on the attackers in Banjsk be one of the criteria for full assessment of the situation in Serbia and Belgrade's ability to walk the European path. Even the EU Office in Kosovo, I think, has recently told authorities in Belgrade that it expects soon the arrest and prosecution of those who carried out the attack in Banjska, which are located in Serbia. Unfortunately, Belgrade still ignores the requirements for handling this issue. I think this is about obstructing the expected judicial process, and it is most likely happening with the order of state leader”, Picaula said. /Periscope/
