The first “is man”, 10 people stand trial in Paris for sexual harassment against Brigitte Macron

Ten defendants -- eight men and two women, aged 41 to 60 -- are charged with online harassment of Brigitte Macron and face up to two years in prison if convicted. Some defendants in the Paris court shared content from this American influencer. In a post, one of them claimed that “22,000 people [...]
According to prosecutors, the defendants posted numerous malicious comments about the gender and sexuality of the first lady, with some linking the change of their age to “pedophilia”.
Brigitte Macron filed a criminal indictment in August 2024, after which investigations and arrests began in December 2024 and February 2025. Her lawyer did not answer the AFP questions and is not known whether the first lady herself will appear at the hearing sessions.
Among the defendants is Aurelien Poirson-Atlan, a 41-year-old social media marketing expert known as Zoe Sagan, which is often accompanied by theories of conspiracy.
Also charged is Delphine J., 51, who is known as Amandine Roy online. In 2021, it published a four-hour interview with “Independent journalist” Natache Rey in her YouTube channel, in which she claimed that Brigitte Macron, born Trogneux, is actually “Jean-Michel Trognaux”, which is her brother's name.
The two women were ordered to pay compensation for Brigitte Macron and her brother in 2024, but the decision was later overturned in appeal. The First Lady has since referred the case to the French Supreme Court.
The theories about Brigitte Macron's alleged birth as a man emerged during the Macron presidential campaign in 2017, and in recent years have spread from extreme right and conspiracy circles in France and the U.S., where transgilitative rights have become one of the main socio-political issues.
In July, the presidential couple filed a US libel lawsuit against conservative Candace Owens, who produced a series called “Becoming Brigite” and claimed the first lady was born a man.
Their American lawyer said Macro will present scientific evidence and photographs that reject these claims. /Periscope/
