(8 months ago)EU Law Rule Mission chief in Kosovo (EULEX) Giovanni Pietro Barbano, accompanied by his associates, has visited the operational chamber at the State Prosecutor's Office, which is committed to the protection of the vote during the election process, where it was hosted by the National Coordinator for Election, the prosecutor from the [...] office.
In this case, according to the media communiqué, National Election Co-ordinator Pula briefed those present on the State Prosecutor's commitment to protecting the free vote of citizens of the Republic of Kosovo for the local elections being held today.
And during this visit, it was discussed on the co-ordination between prosecutors and the National Co-ordinators regarding all activities of the State Prosecutor, which will be undertaken in the event that there is a breach of the election process, as well as including inter-institutional co-operation within the mid-operation of the election process, amid institutions that deal with election management and election case review.
While the EU Mission for Rule of Law in Kosovo chief (EULEX), Giovanni Pietro Barbano, praised the work being done by the prosecutorial system in defence of the vote and wished this election process would pass smoothly until its end.
