Following the failure of the Vetevendosje Movement to secure the parliamentary majority and form the new government, the country's most likely scenario remains holding extraordinary elections.
The proposed government “Kurti 3” received only 56 votes, failing to secure the necessary majority. This result leaves the country in a unclear political situation and uncertainly in the normal functioning of institutions.
Regarding the situation, former LDK leader Isa Mustafa has declared that the sooner elections are held the better.
Anyway, the solution is new elections. It's the citizens he's handed over. The sooner, the better!”, Mustafa told IndexOnline.
Possible dates for holding extraordinary elections are November 30th, December 7th and December 14th, while parties have not yet managed to form a coalition for governance.
The situation shows institutional and political uncertainty, while analysts warn that delays in forming the government could negatively affect the adoption of the budget and the functioning of the country's main institutions. /Periscope/
