In a media communiqué where details have been provided for the action, Dogan has announced that the operation is based on intelligence provided by AKI.
According to Customs, narcotic substances of the cannabis have been carefully hidden in a transport vehicle.
The “Operation was implemented during the afternoon hours, when Customs Anti-Irontrade Unit stopped for control a truck moving towards Pristina on the Ibrahimova highway. After a detailed inspection, and using professional equipment donated by the U.S. Embassy, customs officials have managed to demonstrate hidden vehicle panels, where narcotics substances were located”, the report says.
Also reportedly, the Kosovo Police Antidroga unit and the competent prosecutor have emerged at the scene. The person responsible has reportedly been arrested by Kosovo Police, while legal procedures are under way./Periscopi/
