Maliqi: Kurti likes to share power, opposition can't rightly believe it

Political analyst Agon Maliqi has said that incumbent Prime Minister Albin Kurti has proved he wants to govern alone and that he does not like to make a consensus for co-government with others. According to him, past examples give the opposition the right not to trust Kurt for co-governance. Kurt is mandated for [...]
Kurti is mandated for a new government, following the Assembly's framework from the February 9th elections. He has until Sunday to lead the governing team to the country and secure the majority to govern. So far there are officially no agreements that will provide her with a 61-vot number. The Vetevendosje movement has 48 deputies. He also has the backing of seven non-Serb community deputies, as well as Nenad Rashiqi's. And he has to provide at least 5 deputies.
According to Maliqi, Kosovo is heading towards early elections. He has said Kurti has been reluctant since February to build a government. According to him, it is also in question whether Kurti fails and the mandater belongs to the second party.
It is clear that Kurti since he realized the outcome in February has been reluctant to build a government. A government with 61-62 votes is weak which would always depend on the presence of one or two deputies from their whims. He wouldn't even solve the president's case. The result has been determined, a coalition with an Albanian party. This sít has seemed popular with Kurt and we have seen all these months of attempts to buy time, to remain prime minister in office, in the hope that there are already divisions in the opposition, that it can change the situation after local elections, that these six months use to distribute favors, such as they were for students before the elections. The electorate has imposed the consensus on him, but I think his aim is to go to the polls in a divided opposition, with the AAK Initiative in case of new elections endangering the threshold and perhaps once again to become accounts from the beginning”, he said at KTV.
According to Maliqi, the past has shown that Kurti does not want to govern by compromises with others.
The “is only very obedient in its agenda and partnerships as in the opposition as in power have tried to instrumentalise others in favor of its power. There is no room in his world for contradiction, opposition. It is also observed within his party that anyone who has had a different voice has left. There's a man who wants to share power. Earlier, it would go to the polls to secure a majority only with non-Serb minorities rather than co-operate with any of the Albanian parties”, he has said further.
According to him, opposition parties' refusal to co-operate with Kurt is coming exactly because he can exploit them.
The subcommittee has clear co-operation with it. Any cooperation can lead to disaster as a party. Even the way the parties were offered has been humiliating. With LDK a few months ago and now in Vushter, where he appeared as a god on that stage. Submissioning the former LDK candidate... Other parties are seeing Kurt's attempt to exploit power. I believe they have reason to have distrust in the seriousness and sustainability of any coalition with Kurti”, he said further.
He has said parties are seeing co-operation with the VV as existential issues.
The best-case scenario if Kurti fails to form Government, according to Maliqi would be an opposition or all agreement on technical governments to pass certain laws and budgets before going to the polls. And according to him, if you go back to the election now, it's good that Kurti doesn't remain prime because there is uneven race terrain being used for electoral effects”.
In the event of new elections, Maliqi has said he sees no reason why the VV vote would increase in proportion to 42 per cent in February. He has said there may be differences in margins, but this, according to him, could have major changes in the Assembly if the AAK and Initiative endanger the threshold.
