Social Democrat Initiative Chairman Fatmir Limaj has declared that the country has already entered the legal phase that requires respect for procedures following the government's failure to establish.
“We have already entered the legal phase that must be respected in procedures, it is a meeting the president forces the law to invite us after failing to establish the government. As the law says, the president has ten days to give him the second mandate, and in this phase the president invites political parties to consult and see if it is possible and potential for one of the political forces in parliament to have the majority to offer a new mandate to elect the government”, Limaj said.
He added that this is a procedural meeting, where political parties are given the chance to testify if they can offer a mandate with the majority of votes.
If not, then we move to another phase of consultation with the president to set the election date”, Limaj stressed.
Limaj said Kosovo citizens' vote in the general elections, such as the total vote, has been oriented towards a government by the opposition, and that he has had the desire to offer Kosovo a government coming from the opposition.
Speaking of negotiations with incumbent Prime Minister Albin Kurti about possible partnership, Limaj stressed that his position has been not to participate in government, but to have partnerships in the Parliament itself.
I build political stances come out and mature, and I know where I serve my country more at the appointed stage. We need to approach attitudes in a government. If I don't see myself not being able to contribute to my country's contribution, it's not good to get in the way of my partner or not to serve the country, that's the main reason”, Limaj said on the “show. RTK Prime”.
