During this period of 12 years until Rama heads the Albanian executive, part of his governments and high positions have been and held by some Kosovars.
Three of them, Hajrula Ceku, Gent Cakaj and Besa Sahini, have held positions at the Albanian executive until they are already active in politics there.
Hajrlla Ceku held the position of deputy tourism minister and the environment in the Rama Government in 2018. After 13 months of work, Ceku had decided to resign. The same is already active in Kosovo politics. After a mandate as culture minister, Ceku is currently in the race for Pristina chairman.
Gent Cakaj had served as political adviser to Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama during 2018 and had later assumed the position of deputy minister of foreign affairs. Cakaj has held several other positions until after Ditmir Bushat's dismissal, he was appointed foreign affairs minister in January 2019.
Besa Sahini has held the position of Minister of Education from December 2018 when she was succeeded by Lindita Nikolla and had remained in the post until September 2020, when she was even replaced by Evis Kushi. We have seen Sahin active in Kosovo as a Pristina chairmanial candidate in the October local elections.
The other two Kosovars, Vlora Hyseni, and eventually Lieburn Aliu, have taken the confidence of Edi Rama to lead two extremely important institutions.
Vlora Hyseni currently heads Albanian Intelligence. After a period of work at the Kosovo Intelligence Agency, where he was appointed deputy director in 2019, Hyseni was discharged from Kurti in 2021.
After this period, Vlora Hyseni on April 3rd, 2022 was decreed by Albania's president, Bajram Begaj, as director of Albania's Intelligence Service.
The last to have taken on significant positions in Albania is former Infrastructure Minister Libun Aliu.
He has been appointed director of the Durres Port and presented today by Albanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Energy Belinda Balluk
Lieburn Aliu has long ago resigned from the position of acting Minister of Infrastructure, following the election of Dimal Basha at the head of the Kosovo Assembly.
I am honoured by the Government of the Republic of Albania for a task I have been entrusted with, which is entrusted with, and which is quite challenging”, Ali has declared after the appointment.
Aliu is one of the oldest figures in Vetevendosje Movement, though the same is not even part of the party's General Council to run Albin Kurti./Periscopi/
