Deputy Special Representative and Co-ordination Official of the UN Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK), Milbert Dongjoon Shin, is expected to brief on UN Secretary General's latest report on UNMIK, which was distributed to Council members on October 10th and covers developments from March 16th to September 15th.
Serbia is expected to participate under the 37th provisional regulation of the Council procedure, while Kosovo and the European Union (BE) are expected to participate according to rule 39.
Shin is expected to highlight key political and security developments in Kosovo during the period covered by the Secretary General's report.
He may note that little progress has been made in implementing EU-launched agreements, including the February 2023 Agreement on the road to normalisation (also known as the Ohrid Agreement), and that tensions between Belgrade and Pristina have continued to continue.
