Kosovo bans import of birds and their products from Germany

This ban goes into effect immediately and will remain in place until further assessment of the situation by relevant international authorities and the AUV.
“In line with relevant provisions of legislation in force and in implementation of preventive measures to protect animal health and food safety in the Republic of Kosovo, AUV decides the following: The importation of live birds and their products, such as meat, eggs, and other by - products, originating from all parts of Germany's state. This ban goes into effect immediately and will remain in place until further assessment of the situation by relevant international authorities and the AUV. The Food and Veterinary Agency will continue to monitor the epidemiological situation carefully and co-operate closely with local and international institutions for preventing the spread of this disease. The public and economic operators will be informed in time of any evental change”, the announcement said. /Periscope/
