KFOR Commander, Montenegrin Minister Discuss Security in Kosovo

The commander of the NATO-led KFOR mission, Major General ãozkan Ulitaş, met with Montenegrin Defence Minister Dragan Krapović, and defence chief Brigadier General Miodrag Vuksanov at the Defence Ministry in Podgorica. During the meeting, they discussed the security situation in Kosovo, KFOR's role in maintaining regional peace and stability, as well as continued co-operation between KFOR and Montenegro under international security missions.
Major General Ulitaş expressed his appreciation for Montenegro's sustained support of the KFOR mission and for the professionalism of Montenegrin troops serving in Kosovo.
KFOR continues to implement its mandate under UN Security Council Resolution 1244 to ensure a safe and secure environment for all citizens and communities in Kosovo, as well as to ensure freedom of movement.
The mission works in close co-ordination with Kosovo Police and EULEX, within their respective roles as security reactors. /Periscope/
