KFOR has announced that Commander Ozkan Ulutas yesterday met EU's special emissar for Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Peter Sorensen and EULEX chief Giovanni Pietro Barbano.
“The meeting focused on the security situation in Kosovo, regional stability and continued support of KFOR to support the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue facilitated by the EU”, the report said.
The visit reportedly underscores the long and steadfast commitment of NATO and the EU to work together to consolidate a stable and secure environment for all communities living in Kosovo and regional stability”.
“KFOR continues to implement its mandate based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 in 1999 to contribute to a secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement at any time and impartially. KFOR works in close co-ordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union's Mission for Law Rule in Kosovo (EULEX), in their respective roles as security responders. ”
