KEDS with investments in Dragash: New network precedes developing an area with great tourist potential

On the way out of Dragasch, in the direction of Prizren, along with the fantastic relief that characterizes this mountainous area, the entire new electric network, which has already been located along the main road, also winds up. Unlike the old network, which passed through the mountains and made it very difficult to intervene, especially during winter because of conditions [...]
Within the framework of projects to reinforce the power distribution network at the level of mid-tensity pressure 10л20, KEDS has made a significant investment in Dragash, namely at the J07 Rapqa exit, which supplies some 2,000 consumers or over 5,000 residents and businesses in the area.
This investment has been undertaken in order to eliminate points identified as weak in carrying electricity and improving security and supply quality. Works have included complete restructuring of the existing medium-tensive network through the construction of new segments, where part of the network has been converted from air to underground, while airline segments have been implemented according to contemporary technical standards applied to modern power distribution networks.
Through this investment, old segments that have often been a source of destruction and supply cuts have been eliminated, significantly contributing to increased credit and stability of the electrical network. As a result, consumers in this area already benefit a more stable and high-quality electricity supply.
This project represents only part of KED's continued commitments in the Dragas municipality. Earlier, KEDS had also implemented the major 35 kV-building project from Zhur to Dragash ies a completely new line that has replaced the old air grid passing through the mountains with a modern underground line.
At the same time, two new medium-tensity lines -- the Restelica, which covers the Gore region, and Brodi's, which includes the Sharr Bee area.
These investments, carried out in one of the most mountainous areas and with great tourist potential in the country, guarantee a stable and secure supply of electricity, creating more favourable conditions for economic development, mountain tourism, and the promotion of other production activities, especially those of livestock, for what this three-ve been known.
With this project, KEDS continues to testify to its commitment to modernising the distribution network, increasing the quality of services, and advancing energy infrastructure in every corner of Kosovo.
