Palestinian residents and witnesses reported that Israeli planes carried out 10 air strikes in the eastern areas of Khan Yunis at the southern Gaza Strip, while tanks hit areas east of Gaza to the north. They were not reported injured or dead.
The Israeli Army said it had carried out precise “attacks against <x2-frastructural terrorist infrastructure that posed a threat to troops” in areas Israel still controls.
Thursday's attacks come as proof of the fragile ceasefire that went into effect on October 10th in the conflict between Israel and Hamas.
Witnesses in Gaza said they did not see attacks outside the areas Israel controls.
From Tuesday to Wednesday, Israel retaliated over the death of an Israeli soldier with bombings that Gaza health authorities said killed 104 people.
Israel declared that the soldier was killed in an attack by armed men within what is called a yellow “line, where his troops withdrew under the ceasefire. Hamas dismissed these accusations.
