The International Crisis Group, a non-governmental organisation with headquarters in Brussels, has confirmed the words of Pristina chairman Progress Rama.
In the latest report, this organisation when talking about the municipal level stresses that Vetevendosje blocks municipalities that are not led by other parties.
As Rama said, the International Crisis Group also mentions blocking funds.
“Meanwhile, at the local level, Vetevendosje controls only six of Kosovo's 38 municipalities, including only one city (Gilani). Distrusting institutions outside its control, the party has kept funds from municipal governments and prevented international donors seeking to assist them directly. The government also blocked the renovation of a major project supporting EU-funded municipal governance, Switzerland, Sweden and Norway, which had been in operation since 2014”, the report said.
