Alliance for the Future of Kosovo MP Daut Haradinaj has commented on recent election developments in Mitrovica and Ferizaj, acknowledging that his party has not been very active in these two municipalities during local elections.
In an interview on the Pressing Show in T7, Haradinaj said the AAK has failed to mobilise sufficient support for its candidates in these cities, but stressed that another political dynamic has been created in Mitrovica, influenced by the presence and performance of the PDK candidate in past elections, Bedri Hamza.
The “in Ferizaj and Mitrovica is not that the AAK has been severely tormented. I'm sorry that the people there couldn't support them enough. But we've really thought, even in the past four years ago, that Bedri Hamza must win and they're good to win over against Agim Bahtiri,” Haradinaj said.
He praised Bedri Hamza's commitment to Mitrovica, saying it was “befas positive even at national level”, due to the way Hamza managed in the past and built a new authority.
“PDK has been a national surprise. Since Bedri Hamza's menajo has established a new authority and since he's come to where he is, it's just that the votes are split there whether you're with Minister Peci or with Mr. Peci. Tahiri,” he added.
