Franco Foda: Talks on the new contract are under way, I can stay longer in Kosovo

After an extremely successful campaign in qualifications for the World Cup, Kosovo continues to keep up its hopes for participation in next year's grand tournament.

Coach Franco Foda has found he wants to continue co-operating with “Dardians”, hinting that a contract renovation is under consideration.

“Yes, it is true that talks are under way. Both federation and coach should be satisfied with environment, professionalism. Therefore, it is fully possible to remain in Kosovo for a longer period of”, Foda told German media, forward “4-4-2”.

Former FC Zurich coach has expressed great satisfaction with working in the Kosovo Football Federation and the relationship he has built with the team. Currently, the German 59-year-old contract is valid until the end of July 2026.

Recently, Kosovo recorded a major victory in travel to Sweden, a result that has restored confidence and optimism at Camp “dardan”.

If everything goes according to plan in November matches, Kosovo can provide direct qualifications for the World Cup; otherwise, the road to the World will continue in play-off during next March.

Remember, Kosovo in November faces Slovenia and will hope Switzerland defeats Sweden, to put first place in “Fadil Vokri”.
