Attitudes Against
Most of the votes of the ruling parties are required to change this law. But the Social Democrat Party (SPD) has so far rejected the demands for lifting dual citizenship or multistatement, as stated in the law. If Union CDU parties/ CSU wants to change this law, they have to convince the SPD deputies. But so far there is no agreement in this direction.
