In the news released to the media, it is said that despite the calm atmosphere and the satisfactory participation of citizens at the polls, the process has been forwarded with some irregularities.
The assistance vote has been a very expressed phenomenon, with many voters -- especially women and young people -- assisted by their relatives and others. In many cases, assistance voting has not even been counted in the Book of Voting”, the announcement says.
“Voting Centre constructions by the CEC for a considerable number of voters have caused serious trouble on the ground, and a high number of voters have returned without the opportunity to vote, as their names have not been found on the Voters' List. Despite the numerous changes on voter lists, the situation has deteriorated as a result of lack of auxiliary tables in a considerable part of the polling stations”.
Among other things, DnV monitors have also recorded the presence of promotional materials, postmen and cards within the 100m perimeter of polling stations, while in some municipalities there have been organised voting for civil groups.
On the eve of the launch of the ballot counting process, DnV calls on all commissioners to continue counting with the same dedication, given that this process is as important as voting. We also call on political subjects and their representatives to wait quietly for the official election results and demonstrate political and civic responsibilities.
