Vuciq added that in Syria “take orders and act according to command” and said Serbia will have something “with which to enjoy”, but did not clarify what the word is.
Syria recognised Kosovo's independence on 29 October, officials from both countries announced.
While in Riyadh, Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani announced that the agreement on recognition of Kosovo from Syria was reached with the support of Saudi Arabia's crown prince, Muhammad bin Salman Al Saud.
Syria ʹ state in the Middle East has improved relations with Western countries following the collapse of President Bashar al-Assad in December 2024, during an offensive led by Islamist group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS).
As of January this year, at the helm of the country is Ahmed al-Saharaa, who led the opposition fighters in the fall of Assad, ending his family's five-decade rule.
Vuciq said on October 30th that in Syria's recognition of Kosovo, he sees “the same style as last year by Antalya”.
Sudan, a state in northeastern Africa, recognised Kosovo's independence in April 2025.
In a video together with Sudanese Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Yousuf al-Sharif, at Turkey's Diplomatic Forum in Antalya, Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani, said he had informed Sudan of the decision to recognise Kosovo and establish relations between the two countries.
