At this historic meeting, Trump is expected to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
There are serious days coming,” wrote Szijjarto on Facebook, sharing photos from Washington Airport where he was met by American officials. His post came despite the ban on the social network in Russia and Meta labels as “extremist”.
In his announcement Monday, Szijarto stressed the importance Hungary devotes not only to the US-Russia summit, which is expected to pave the way for a possible solution to the conflict in Ukraine but also to bilateral talks with Washington. Hungary aims to deepen economic co-operation, focusing particularly on the revival of the double taxation avoidance agreement, which was not renewed during the Biden administration.
The upcoming meeting in Budapest comes after the October 16th telephone conversation between Trump and Putin, where the two leaders agreed on an upcoming meeting, raising hopes for an important development in international relations. /Periscope/
