During October, Kosovo Customs has announced that it has identified a considerable number of customs-optorial cases as a result of border controls and the country's internal territory.
Undeclared goods, hidden or accompanied by incorrect documentation have been discovered in these operations, aimed at avoiding legal obligations.
According to Dogan's Facebook report, cases include goods from various categories, such as textile products and alleged clothing as counterfeiters, pharmaceutical products, cosmetics and aesthetics without documentation, electronics and undeclared tools, food products, supplements, gas canisters and processed meat in large quantities, monetary tools on the legal border, narcotics, tobacco and ammunition for various weapons.
The general value of banned goods reaches high amounts, while relevant administrative procedures have been initiated against persons involved.
Kosovo customs reaffirms commitment to market protection and citizens' health, as well as to combat smuggling and illegal trade.
We invite all citizens and businesses to co-operate and respect customs regulations to ensure a fair and legal business environment”, Dogan wrote.
