The current government is illegally proceeding the budget”

Eugen Cakoli from the Kosovo Democratic Institute has reacted after proceeding next year's draft budget by the incumbent government, calling the process clear legal violations and parts of a well-thought “political game”. Chocolate says the country is facing a paradoxic situation, where the budget is being proposed to the Parliament by a incumbent prime minister who was refused to receive the mandate to form the new government a few days ago.
With the government's budget vote in office and its prosecution in the Assembly, a legal violation that seems part of a well-thought political game is taking shape.
Today we face a reality as absurd as even paradoxically:
Next year's budget is being proposed to the Assembly by an MP who was only recently refused as a candidate for prime minister. The same one is now acting as prime minister in office and sending the same thing to that Parliament draft for approval.
Most of the (former) ministers who participated in the adoption of this budget in Government will vote for it again in the Assembly, except now from the MP's post. So two votes “pro” for the same bill, from two different positions, this pure interest”, Calcoli wrote on Facebook.
He also mentioned the fact that the draft budget was prepared by the former finance minister, who, as he pointed out, had earlier canceled an administrative directive due to the incompatibility of the mandate, and who now continues to do the same with the most important law of the year.
“The draft budget is prepared and proposed by (formerly) the finance minister, who was cancelled by the Supreme Court by an administrative directive due to the incompatibility of his mandate. The same now continues the same violation, but this time for the most important law of the year, the state budget. Hence, the issue is not in the budget, but in the way the law is being violated in its name. By selling this as good news to citizens through increased wages, pensions, social aid, and other services is trying to create the impression that who does not support the budget is against the citizens. Thus, conditions are creating the deliberate mix of legitimacy and populistness to make it invisible to transgression. And if the law is violated today in the name of salaries and pensions, tomorrow it can be violated in the name of anything else”, Calcol wrote.
