The Independent Union of Trepca Miners in their response have claimed they have hoped this issue will be resolved in their favour.
But from the official information the court has been denying our requests, with the argument that we have no right to court protection for the realization of our requests for payment of pension contributions from the employer! The amount the company owes to the miners has already exceeded millions of euros. In addition to lack of contributions, we have also been affected by the loss of annual profits that the Trust would have made through international investments. Sadly, the miner's status in Kosovo remains heavy”, said in response.
Full response:
You inform us that the raw materials initiated at the Foundation Court branch in Mitrovica, regarding the non-paid pension trust from our company, have already begun to be reviewed. We had hoped that these issues would be solved in our favor, since the right is on the side of the workers who have been damaged for six years now by the lack of trust.
But from the official information we have the court is rejecting our requests, with the argument that we have no right to a court defense request to implement our demands for payment of pension contributions from the employer! The amount the company owes to the miners has already exceeded millions of euros.
In addition to lack of contributions, we have also been affected by the loss of annual profits that the Trust would have made through international investments.
Sadly, the miner's status in Kosovo remains serious. After decades of hard work and high - risk professions, many of you face minimum pensions, while your trust tools are also lacking, making life more difficult.
We continue to trust in justice, but in this case, we think that the court has not sufficiently valued the damages caused by the miners.
The decisions thus far have determined that it is ATK's duty to force companies for these payments, but now six years ATK has not taken any serious action against Trepca sh.a., which continues not to meet its obligations.
For your honorable miner announcement, the company we lay down we can, not only is it challenging our requests in court for payment of pension contributions, but it is also asking the court to force us as a party to the procedure to pay all judicial expenses! ! We call on Trepca sh.a management. that immediately this month begins the monthly payment of the pension and urgently open dialogue with the union and miners' representatives for a fair and stable agreement.
As we seek legal protection from the court and once allow our right to access the court, as basic for examining our requests on the judicial course!
On the contrary, the Miner Union will take the necessary union steps to protect your rights”.
