The president of the Peran Congress, Fernando Rospilos, called the incident “punishable” and called for its punishment.
Rospilos, from the People's Power Party, said it was a <x0-down” for convention employees to be assigned such tasks that “do not fall within their duties” and called on the convention's ethics committee to impose sanctions on Vásquez.

Ethics Committee Chairman Elvis Vergara told reporters he would seek an exclusive investigation into Vázquez on 3 November.
