Military base exercise (TVO) will last two months, the first calls will begin by the end of the year, and the first recruits at the barracks in Knin, Sluj and Pozega are expected early next year. As announced by the Ministry of Defence, about 4,000 recruits are scheduled each year, divided into five generations.

All 18-year-olds are registered in the military registry and will be sent to military exercises in the calendar year when they turn 19. The recruits will undergo a medical check before the exercise to determine if they are capable of military exercises, and the Defence Ministry declares that this will be organised as closely as the recruits' residence to make access easier for participants.
Examination determines the medical capacity of a potential recruit, the Defence Ministry announced, adding that those subject to military service could be sent for training or received a legally defined postponement by the end of 29th year of life, or excluded from obligation under the conditions and manner defined by law.
Exceptively, recruits over the age of 19 and until the age of 30 can also be sent to military exercises, as service can be postponed in the case of study and athletes to participate in the world and European championships. /Periscope/
