Citizen's attorney faced by Zemaj deputy

The incident's version has also provided lawyer Liridon Kutlovci, who has been presented as the protector of the citizen with whom Zemaj was involved in the physical incident.

According to him, the citizen addressed Zemaj with the words: “You're all the same, you're just lying”. Kutlovci has said that his client's response has occurred as a result of civic frustration about the political and economic situation in the country.

Kutlovci has said the attack occurred from Zemaj, without further provocation from the citizen.

Instead of the MP keeping the peace and ethics belonging to a representative of the Republic Parliament, he (Zemaj) has returned and addressed the citizen with the insulting words: “Genjen mother and your wife”. This unacceptable vocabulary is used in the presence of a citizen's wife. After about 20 seconds, MP Andmend Zemaj physically attacked my client with his fist, with no further provocation from him. My client has reacted in the most moderate way possible, without exercising any form of violence and immediately called the police, demonstrating self-restraint and respect for legal order”, he wrote in a media communiqué.

Kutlovci has said he will take all legal actions “so that this case does not remain unresponsibilities and that the citizen's dignity is fully protected”.

And, on the other hand, LDK deputy Armend Zemaj has reacted through a post on the social Facebook network, saying that while he was conducting an interview, he was literally provoked with unacceptable words.

“Today, during a public interview, an unpleasant situation occurred that I feel genuine regret. A citizen, I don't know if it was random or intended, that's what the police would prove to me, he insulted me and provoked me in a very irrevocably, in front of the media and the journalist we were in interview, he wrote.

Zemaj has said that he would have to succumb to provocation and apologise for the incident that occurred.

I have full respect for every person, for every thought and every criticism, no matter how harsh that can be, mine is not responding with emotion. So it has to serve as a lesson to be more patient and consistent in every situation. Thank you all for understanding”, he wrote.

The heart demands public forgiveness for the physical incident with a citizen: Violence is not the right answer.
