Yemen's Houth and Yemen have announced on Thursday that their Chief of Staff, Muhammad Abd Al-Karim al-Ghamari, one of Iran's top military officials, has been killed during the performance of the task.
Without directly blaming Israel for its murder, Houth has said the conflict with Israel is not over, Reuters reported.
“Israel will receive the punishment due to the crimes it committed”, the statement issued.
In August, Israel was targeting the Chief of Staff of Houth, the defence minister and other high figures in the air strikes in Sana, Yemen, in which the government's prime minister, led by Houth, and several other ministers, broadcast time.
Israel had then declared that the air strike targeted al-Ghamari, defence minister and other senior officials and was verifying the results.
Ghamari was part of the Gihadi <x0Zyra” of Houth, led by Abdul Malik al-Hoth, who is responsible for overseeing the group's military operations.
Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz has declared Thursday that Ghamari has been killed in an Israeli attack.
“We will do the same against any other threat in the future”, he added. /Periscopi/
