Brussels urges certificate of first round results, calls for peaceful runoff on November 9th

The European Union welcomes the peaceful, competitive and inclusive development of the first round of local elections.

An EU spokesman has underlined that Brussels-based institutions welcome the participation of all communities in the polls, as well as free, just and inclusive media coverage that reportedly contributes to a transparent electoral process.

“For those municipalities where mayors were elected in the first round, we call for a rapid certificate and implementation of election results through a regular transition of local governance. For other municipalities where the mayoral election will be held, we call for a equally peaceful, competitive and inclusive development on November 9th”, the European Union's spokesman has ordered, has transmitted RTK. /Periscopi/
