Berisha after protest for KLA: Liberation War, Albanian History's Brightest Page

In a statement to the media, Berisha said that thanks to the KLA sacrifice, Kosovo today enjoys its freedom and independence. He stressed that the charges against former KLA leaders in The Hague are “totally fabricated by Belgrade” and have no real evidence.

“U n The CK was the army of freedom, which with devotion and heroism became NATO's ally in the fight against the Milosevic criminal regime. Without this extraordinary sacrifice, Kosovo would not be free today,” Berisha said.

The Democratic Party again declares that: 1. The KLA's liberation war in Kosovo is the greatest site of the Albanian wars for national freedom and dignity since Skenderbe's wars. 2. Without the sacrifice, blood, bravery and heroism of the KLA freedom fighters, Kosovo would never be a free and independent country.

The KLA's war on the liberation of Kosovo is the latest liberation war in Europe that ended the long-standing Kosovo Serb occupation, and the Kosovo Liberation Army was a loyal ally of the North Atlantic Alliance on Kosovo's territory during the Alliance's air bombing campaign against the regime of Milosevic in the spring of 1999.

While Berisha's communications director, Alfred Leela, said the DP has not given any orders publishing the protest.

The Democratic Party has given no orders -- verbal or written -- that its representatives or supporters be not in the support rally for the former KLA leaders, in the process of trial in The Hague. The banal speculation of any media that this order exists is part of Ramaduro's permanent anti-opposition scenario and the Democratic Party rejects it as such.
