In an interview with the newspaper De Morgen, Francken has touched on a range of strategic hot issues, including war in Ukraine, European defence, hybrid warfare and nuclear prevention.
Asked whether he was afraid that Russian President Vladimir Putin could launch a conventional missile attack in Brussels, his response was clear.
