Antidrug action in Pec/ Three Narcotics Cultivation Arrested in Sverka

The Basic Prosecutor in Pec, the Department of Internal Crimes, in co-operation with the Kosovo Police ... The Directorate for Combating Narcotics, has undertaken today in the early hours of the morning a police action that resulted in the arrest of three people suspected of criminal acts “Construction of weed plants, cocaine or cannabis plant” and “Blerja, possession, distribution and sale of unauthorized narcotics, psychophytography substances and analog <3x>

According to the official announcement, the action has continued the investigation into the case codenamed “Verra 2024”, which is related to plantations discovered over the past year in the village of Sveka of the Pec municipality, where some 3,000 narcotic plants and about a ton of marijuana were seized.

Today's arrests have been executed by the Special Intervenus Unit in the Pec and Gjakova regions. By order of the state prosecutor, suspects have been detained for 48 hours, while two vehicles, three mobile phones and a lot of cash have been seized.

The prosecution reports that within the legal deadline it will apply for ensuring the presence of defendants in criminal procedure.

Meanwhile, in this case, eight people have been arrested earlier in the Republic of Albania for the same criminal work, within cross-border co-operation for combating narcotics cultivation. /Periscopi/
