I am very honored to be here today, honoured by the government of Albania by Deputy Prime Minister Balluk for a task entrusted to me and is very challenging. It is the port of all Albanians, of the region, but from where Kosovo gets most of the material”, Aliu said.
He stressed the importance of strengthening trade ties between Kosovo and the Durres Port, underlining that this will directly affect the region's economic development.
Kosovo needs to have a strong link to the port of Durres, this amount of goods will multiply, that would help make it more economically developed and safer”, Aliu said.
In conclusion, he also stopped working together between the two countries, stressing the shared importance of this task.
“Maybe you see me as Kosovo's, there they see me as Albania's, it's not easy, but we're going to do this together, and after 3 years we're going to see the port connected to the entire region”, Ali concluded.
